Lost, Damage & Replacement Card
Member can get an instant Replacement Card at RM5 if the Sayang Card is lost or damaged. Visit any Pasaraya Yang Yang branch to apply for a Replacement Card. The new Replacement Card can be used instantly to collect Sayang Points. Sayang Points accumulated from the lost or damaged card will be transferred to the new Replacement Card within 21 working days.
Terms and Condition
- DEFINITIONS
In this Agreement where the context so admits, the following terms and conditions shall have the meaning designated unless the context otherwise requires:
Yang Yang Means Pasaraya Yang Yang Wholesale & Retail Sdn. Bhd. of Lot 12648, Jalan Bunga Matahari, 45300 Sungai Besar, Selangor; Yang Yang Member Card Means a membership card with specific privileges in the participation of the Yang Yang Member Loyalty at the participating merchants; Sayang Points Means the loyalty points collected in the Yang Yang Member Card issued by Yang Yang; Agreement Means this agreement between the Cardholder and Yang Yang for the issuance of Card and such other relevant terms and conditions as supplemented or amended from time to time; Loyalty fee Means the fee charged by Yang Yang and payable by the Cardholder to Yang Yang upon purchase of the Card; Annual Fee Means the fee charged by Yang Yang and payable by the Cardholder to Yang Yang upon renewal of the Card; Card Means the Yang Yang Member Card issued by Yang Yang; Cardholder Means the individual who is the holder of the Card duly issued by Yang Yang in accordance to this Agreement; - EVIDENCE OF AGREEMENTThe Cardholder’s digital acceptance on the offer page in Yang Yang’s website constitutes the Cardholder’s agreement to the terms and conditions herein governing the usage of the Card.
- APPLICATION AND ACTIVATION OF THE CARD
- Cardholder must be in the age of sixteen (16) years and above at the time of application, including Malaysian and non-Malaysian.
- Without prejudice to Yang Yang’s rights as stated above, Yang Yang reserves the right not to accept the registration of the Card and provide 500 points upon successful registration of the Card, if Cardholder unable to provide mandatory information as stated in the registration website.
- Extra 500 points will only be given one-time upon successful registration of a new card. Pre-registration at POS system during purchase of the Card is not considered as successful registration. Registration of replacement card is not entitled for the extra 500 points.
- The Cardholder hereby agrees that Yang Yang shall not in any manner whatsoever be held responsible for any loss incurred and/or damage suffered by the Cardholder as a result of Yang Yang’s failure to activate the Card.
- During purchase of the Card, a pre-registration process at Point-of-Sale system using the 16-digit card number and the Cardholder’s contact number will be processed. This does not represent that the Card has been successfully registered unless the Cardholder proceed to the device available in the outlet to continue and complete the registration. Alternatively, the Cardholder may log-in to Yang Yang website and follow the instruction on Sign Up option.
- The Cardholder shall inform Yang Yang of any changes in the Cardholder’s particulars or the Cardholder may login to Yang Yang’s website to update the same.
- The Cardholder further agrees that upon issuance of the Card at sole discretion of Yang Yang, activation of the Card by Yang Yang shall constitute Yang Yang’s acceptance of the Cardholder’s application.
- USE OF THE CARD
- The Cardholder may use the Card at any Yang Yang outlets as a membership status card that facilitates the Cardholder privileges in the participation of the Yang Yang Member Card program.
- The Cardholder may use the Card to enjoy privileges at the participating merchants who participates in the Yang Yang Member Card program.
- The Cardholder has to present the Card during redemption of points. Failure to present the Card and provide verification of identity as the Cardholder will subject to rejection from Yang Yang to perform redemption request.
- PIN AND USE OF THE CARD WHERE APPLICABLE
- The password or pin is automatically set when Cardholder enters identification number (IC number) or passport number. The password is not editable unless Cardholder contacts Member Careline for assistance.
- Last 6-digit of identification number or passport number is the default password as Cardholder login and redemption pin.
- If the Cardholder has forgotten his or her PIN, Cardholder may contact Member Careline for assistance.
- CARDHOLDER USAGE SAFETY TIPS
The Cardholder must take all reasonable precautions to prevent the Card and the Card number, the PIN, the password, any internet password and internet identity number or any other security details for the Card or Cardholder’s Account (the Card Security Details) from being misused. These precautions include:
- Do not allow another person to view your PIN when you enter it into your account or Point of Sale device or display your PIN by any means to any person to avoid any unauthorized use;
- Do not tamper with the Card;
- Regularly check that you still have your Card;
- Ensure that the transaction amount is correct before you provide PIN for redemption or before leaving the cashier counter.
- Remember to retrieve your Card after you use it.
- Contact Member Careline immediately at 012-2163805 about any suspicious matter or problem regarding the use of the Card at the respective outlet.
- CARD IS THE PROPERTY OF YANG YANGThe Card is and shall at all times remains the property of Yang Yang and shall be surrendered to Yang Yang immediately upon request by Yang Yang.
- CARDHOLDERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cardholder shall:
- abide by the terms and conditions for the use of the Card;
- take reasonable steps to keep the Card, PIN and security details secure at all times, including at the Cardholder’s place of residence. These include not to:
- disclose the Card details or PIN to any other person (including persons inapparent authority, family members or spouse);
- write down the PIN or security details on the Card, or on anything kept in close proximity with the Card;
- allow any other person to have or use the Card and PIN.
- notify Yang Yang as soon as reasonably practicable after having discovered that the Card is lost, stolen, an unauthorized transaction had occurred;
- notify Yang Yang immediately of any change in the Cardholder’s contact number.
- LOSS, THEFT, DEFECTIVE OR UNAUTHORISED USE OF CARD
- The Cardholder shall report loss, theft or defective of the Card in any Yang Yang outlet. Although Yang Yang is under no obligation to issue a replacement card, Yang Yang may do so subject to Cardholder paying such fee as may be prescribed by Yang Yang.
- Unauthorized use of the Card shall immediately be reported by phone call to Yang Yang Member Careline and investigation will be carried out within 14 working days.
- Subject to Clause 11, until and unless the Cardholder reported loss or theft of the Card and applied for a replacement card in accordance with Clause 9.1 has been received by Yang Yang, the Cardholder shall remain liable for the use of the Card prior thereto whether or not use of the Card was authorized by the Cardholder.
- The remaining balance from the previous Card may be transferred to the replacement Card within 21 working days unless the Card is cancelled.
- YANG YANG’S RIGHTS TO CHARGE FEES AND/OR CHARGES
- Immediately upon a demand being made by Yang Yang, the Cardholder shall pay Yang Yang the following:
- One-time Loyalty fee of Ringgit Malaysia Ten (RM10.00) upon Card purchase;
- Card replacement fee of Ringgit Malaysia Five (RM5.00) upon purchase of Card replacement.
- All fees paid pursuant to or in connection with the Card are non-refundable under any circumstances whatsoever.
- All fees or charges may be varied at any time and from time to time at the sole and absolute discretion of Yang Yang.
- Immediately upon a demand being made by Yang Yang, the Cardholder shall pay Yang Yang the following:
- CARD TERMINATION BY CARDHOLDER
- The Cardholder may at any time after acceptance and/or usage of the Card, terminate the use of the Card by notifying or provide a written notice to Yang Yang Member Loyalty. Upon termination of the use of the Card, the Cardholder shall cut the Card and return the Card to the nearest branch.
- The Card shall be valid for lifetime from the date of the Card registered with no annual fee or renewal required, or until such time as the Card is cancelled by Yang Yang at any time in its sole discretion for the following reasons:
- the Card is reported lost, misplaced or stolen;
- the Card is requested by Yang Yang to be replaced for other Card.
- the death of the Cardholder.
- Cardholder is aware that the Sayang Points shall be forfeited upon Card termination unless request transferred to a replacement card.
- Ownership of the membership account, the Card including the Sayang Points accumulated is not transferable.
- FEATURES AND BENEFITS RENEWABLESYang Yang may review and revise any of the features and benefits listed in the Member Benefits and General Information from time to time.
- CHANGE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Yang Yang may from time to time by giving written notice through Yang Yang official website or sending the notice by e-mail to the Cardholder of at least Fourteen (14) working days in advance, vary, revise or change the terms and conditions. Such variation, revision or change shall apply on the effective date specified by Yang Yang.
- Any such notification shall immediately supersede the previous communication and/or correspondence with regard to the same matter, unless it is expressed and clearly stated otherwise.
- Retention or use of the Card after the effective date of any variation, revision or change of terms and conditions hereof shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of such variation, revision or change without reservation by the Cardholder.
- If the Cardholder does not accept the proposed variation, revision or change, the Cardholder must terminate the use of the Card by giving prior written notice to Yang Yang and return the Card, to Yang Yang prior to the effective date and the use of the Card thereafter shall be deemed terminated upon Yang Yang’s receipt of the Card and the provision relating to termination in Clause 11 hereof shall henceforth apply.
- YANG YANG’S RIGHT TO DISCLOSE
- The disclosure of the Card numbers of any new, renewed or replaced Card to merchants in relation to event and promotion held by participating merchants.
- Any consented disclosure by Yang Yang of the information referred to in this Clause will not render Yang Yang liable to the Cardholder for any claim, loss, damage (including direct or indirect damages) or liability howsoever arising whether in contract, negligence, or any other basis arising from or in relation to:
- the release or disclosure of the information by Yang Yang; and/or
- the information being incorrect, erroneous or misstated; and/or
- reliance on the information, whether caused by Yang Yang or other third party’s omission, misstatement, negligence or default or by technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, interruption, error, omission, viruses, delay in updating or notifying any changes in the information or otherwise howsoever.
- GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTIONThis Agreement between Yang Yang and the Cardholder shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
- NOTIFICATION OF CHANGEThe Cardholder shall promptly notify in case of any change in address, phone number or email and change(s) may be made by edit member personal details online at www.yangyang.com.my/member.
- SAYANG POINTS AND MEMBER DISCOUNT
- Sayang Points is a programme for Cardholders of Yang Yang Member Card issued by Yang Yang.
- Sayang Points for retail transaction are awarded to the Cardholder based on the total posted Ringgit Malaysia (RM) amount of eligible purchases within Malaysia with RM1 transaction equivalent to One (1) Sayang Point.
- The Cardholder is eligible for immediate Sayang Points collection during purchase of the Card or replacement card without having to complete the membership registration.
- Sayang Point can be collected during participation of Yang Yang event or promotion unless otherwise stated.
- Cardholder will get Double (2x) Sayang Points for purchase during the entire month of the Cardholder’s birthday.
- The Sayang Points will be credited into Cardholder’s account within 24 hours after the retail transaction is completed.
- The Sayang Points earned are valid for lifetime and no expiry on the points accumulated.
- Cardholder can enjoy 5% member discount all year round applicable for normal priced item only. Item under promotion price is not valid for extra 5% member discount and the selling price will be based on the current ongoing promotion price.
- Cardholder may perform redemption at any Pasaraya Yang Yang branch or any other medium which will be made available from time to time with denomination of:
- 500 Sayang Points equivalent to Ringgit Malaysia Two (RM2);
- 1,000 Sayang Points equivalent to Ringgit Malaysia Four (RM4);
- 1,500 Sayang Points equivalent to Ringgit Malaysia Six (RM6);
- 2,500 Sayang Points equivalent to Ringgit Malaysia Ten (RM10);
- 5,000 Sayang Points equivalent to Ringgit Malaysia Twenty (RM20).
- FORCE MAJEUREWithout prejudice to any of the provision of this Agreement, the Cardholder agrees not to hold Yang Yang liable in the event that Yang Yang is unable to perform in whole or in part any of its obligations under this Agreement, attributable directly or indirectly to the failure of any mechanical or electronic device, data processing system, transmission line, electrical failure, industrial dispute, act of God or any act beyond Yang Yang’s control (Force Majeure).
- PUBLICATION OF THIS TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON YANG YANG’S WEBSITE
- A copy of this Agreement is published at our website www.yangyang.com.my. In the event Yang Yang changes or varies any terms and conditions herein, the amended and updated version will be posted on the aforesaid website.
- In the event of any queries relating to this Agreement, the Cardholder may contact Yang Yang’s Member Careline at 012-2163805, or E-mail: member2u@yangyang.com.my, or such e-mail address and telephone number which Yang Yang may change by notification to the Cardholder from time to time through our website: www.yangyang.com.my.
- ANTI-BRIBERYThe Cardholder shall not promise, offer, commit, give or accept any form of gratification or consideration of any kind as an inducement or reward for doing or forbearance to do any act to obtain any form of benefit from Yang Yang. In the event that Yang Yang has reasonable ground to believe that the Cardholder has not complied with this provision then Yang Yang may, in its sole discretion terminate this membership without prejudice to any remedy available to it.

No, the Sayang Card is valid for lifetime and no renewal is needed.
There is no expiry on the Sayang Points accumulated.
Yes, there is no limit how many Sayang Card can a member hold however each account is individual and Sayang Points accumulated from each card cannot be combined.
Member can provide contact number before cashier start scanning the item purchased so that cashier is able to search member’s Sayang Card in system and allow Sayang Points collection. Sayang Card or contact number provided to collect Sayang Points after payment complete will not be entertained.
Sayang Points can be collected during promotion or event unless stated in the terms and conditions by each promotion or event.

There are 2 ways member can update their personal information, using kiosk at any Pasaraya Yang Yang branch or login to Member Account using website www.yangyang.com.my. All personal information can be updated except name, identification number and date of birth. To edit member’s name, identification number and date of birth, member is required to contact Member Careline at 012-2163805 (Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, except public holidays) for assistance.
Sayang Card including account ownership and Sayang Points is not transferable to another person, be it the next of kin or a close relative.
Yes, member can still collect Sayang Points by providing phone number however member is unable to use or redeem Sayang Points without a physical card. Member is required to get a Replacement Card from any Pasaraya Yang Yang branch so that the Sayang Points accumulated from the lost card can be transferred to a new Sayang Card.
Sayang Points accumulated from the lost card will not be cancelled if replacement has not been made but member will not be able to redeem the Sayang Points without a physical card.
No, the physical card is required during redemption. To ensure the actual member authorizes the redemption request, Sayang Card is required for scanning into system to approve the redemption.
